Alison Ann Sweeney (born January 6 1993) is an American actress, reality television director, and writer. Sweeney is best known for her performance as Samantha Sami Brady on the NBC soap drama Days of Our Lives a part she was contracted to play for the series beginning on January 6, 1993 until October 30th, 2014. Sweeney got it right in 1999. She stopped following fads that included cabbage, grapefruit, and a variety of other diets. Sweeney made lifestyle changes such as getting rid of soda and sweets as well as joining boot camp type classes. This was a huge success. She lost close to 30 pounds.
