Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Collins is a Mexican American Sportscaster. She works as an ESPN anchor for news and also hosts SportsNation often. She started working for ESPN in the year 2016. Her mother is television reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins was a bilingual since she was nine years old, a valuable skill that helped her secure her first position working as an assistant to the producer with Univision in Miami and allowed her to collaborate with producers of National programs like Nuestra Belleza Latina, Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud and Primer Impacto. Then, in St. Petersburg, she was then employed to the CBS station as the sports reporter. After 2009, the news reporter relocated to Rio Grande Valley Texas where she was employed by KNVO TV 48 Univision as and Fox2 News. The stories she wrote about covered immigration drugs, immigration, as well as other issues on both the Texas and Mexico border. Additionally, she worked as a Spanish reporter at the newscast at 5 p.m. and anchor and reporter for the newscast of 9 p.m. with a reporter and anchor in English and also a Spanish reporter from 10 p.m. She also filled in for sports anchors and weather forecasters. Then she became the anchor and reporter for Univision Dallas' Deportes 23. She was then given larger responsibilities. She also did segments on MLB's ALDS ALCS and World Series the Dallas Cowboys the NBA postseason as well as the Finals FC Dallas and the Dallas Stars. She produced Univision 23 Accion Deportiva Extra and anchored it. She also served as anchor for the sports segment of Despierta America Deportes morning show. As a sports anchor, she worked for Primer Impacto (a network magazine) as well as Contacto Deportivo (a UniMas Network sports channel). Antonietta's parents are from Veracruz Mexico. At some point they were moved from Veracruz Mexico to Mexico City where she was born on the 22nd of November, 1985. There is an older sister. There is an older sibling. Soon after the family split up, and in 1995 Fabio Fajardo got married again. He died from kidney cancer in the year 2006. On a trip Antonietta was staying at her sister's house in Canton Ohio. Her older Collins brother had recently been offered a new job. Antonietta is a senior in high school and had a clear idea of the path she wanted to pursue. When she was deciding whether Mount Union would be a good fit for her, Antonietta went to visit the campus. In the end she fell in love with the university. The university offered her major. She finished school and attended the university as an undergraduate major in media studies. Mark Bergmann - her professor - was also the manager at WRMU (91.1 FM) in which she was a part of. Professor Bergmann encouraged her to have self-confidence and was deeply touched by his love of journalism.
